Flower: smokable, trichome-covered part of a female cannabis plant that comes in the form of dried buds. It is commonly used with cannabis accessories such as a grinder, bong, pipe, bubbler, dry herb vaporizer, or rolling papers / cones. During consumption, the smoke coming from the heated ground-up flower passes through a paper filter or glass / metal screens. Flower can be purchased in ‘milled’ form for added convenience.
Pre-roll: flower that is rolled in the form of a joint and ready to smoke.
Vape Cartridges: a small container filled with cannabis concentrate. It connects with 510 batteries to heat up and consume in the form of vapor. Some vapes come in disposable form (also known as vape pens); an external 510 thread battery is not required but it is ready to go as one unit and can also be recharged. Vaping is a healthier alternative to smoking weed and can be very convenient. An added benefit of vaping is that heating can be controlled, which avoids combustion. It allows users to get the most out of the terpenes in the flower.
Oil: an edible extract derived from cannabis flower and mixed with a carrier oil such as MCT / coconut oil, hemp seed oil, olive oil, etc. It comes with a dropper / syringe with units so that you can measure precise doses, or as a spray (which measures THC & CBD mg per spray). This is a recommended product type for new cannabis users, especially CBD oil containing no THC (or such low amounts that users wouldn’t get a psychoactive high from it).
Capsules: oral pills or tablets designed for convenience and accurate dosing. Recommended for new cannabis users.
Edible: food item infused with cannabis extract. These come in a variety of forms, such as gummies, chocolate, cookies, cake, brownies, caramel candies, mints, dried fruit, freezies, dissolvable strips, tablets, sauces, and more! Recommended product type for new users.
Beverage: liquid food item infused with cannabis extract. Popular drinks include sparkling water in many flavors. Recommended for new cannabis users.
